Here’s the summary of our latest Lockdown photography theme, post-apocalypse, suggested by John Fox. If you’ve joined our Zoom meeting you will know what it is all about; alternatively, watch the YouTube video below:

Post-Apocalypse

The world as we know it has ended, society and the government have collapsed. Nothing will ever be the same again …

Create a picture or a series of images that depicts you or any people that are in lockdown with you as characters in a post-apocalyptic world. You can also create images that depict a post-apocalyptic world without any characters in it.

You can use any creative and editing tools, but the key is to work with what you have. Be inventive and creative, use any space or elements in and around your house to create a believable post-apocalyptic world or character(s). Go all out to make us believe that the apocalypse has come!

Inspiration

Find inspiration from DPC’s Pinterest account or watch movies in this genre, like The Matrix, The Book of Eli, I am Legend, or any of the Mad Max instalments. Just make sure that the movie you choose has a very strong visual style.
