Download DPC's Steel-Series Lightroom Presets absolutely for free

Who doesn’t love free stuff? This week, we are giving away our Steel-Series, Lightroom develop presets, absolutely for free!

The Steel-Series has been designed as part of a complete collection of presets we give to our Lightroom Workshop Students. The Steel-Series has a vintage look and feel and works great for Urban, Industrial, and Steampunk themes. It consists of a total of 16 colour and mono presets in matte and clear looks.

What are develop presets?

The main purpose of Lightroom is to speed up your photography workflow so that you spend less time behind the computer, and more time doing what matters, taking great photos! By using presets you can quickly and effectively add a whole variety of effects to your photos in seconds.

A develop preset, is a very nifty function of Lightroom’s Develop Module. It allows you to save the edits you made to a photo, which can then be re-applied to any other photo with the click of a button. This is particularly useful to create consistency in a body of work; for instance, when creating an editorial where you want your photos to have the same look-and-feel. While no single preset will work for every photo, you can update a current preset; or after tweaking it, save it as a new one.

The following are sample images of a steampunk-themed portrait shoot, of the beautiful Minnette Bester, which was taken during one of DPC’s Portrait Boot Camps. I think you will agree that the STEEL-SERIES work really well for the steampunk theme!

All you have to do is Scroll to the bottom of this page, then Download and Install the STEEL-SERIES presets into Lightroom. Apply the preset to a suitable image, set a proper exposure and if needed, fine-tune with applying your favourite filters and brushes. Voila!
