How the Judging was done
The Judges
Our panel of judges consisted of 8 photographers from the DPC team, Danie Bester, Warren James, Deon, Trompie van der Berg, John Fox, Bruna Mentrup-Nortje, Kevin Richards and Nolan Lister.
Photo of the Year
Scoring was done by adding each judge’s score. The image, which scored the highest points in each of the two categories, Nature, and People, were awarded the Photo of the Year.
Photographer of the Year
The most consistent members from South Africa have been nominated and then each judge voted for their photographer of the year. The member with the most votes was awarded the prestigious Photo Critic Photographer of the Year.
